Mr. Chad Kennedy

Mr. Chad Kennedy began his career in education in the fall of 2005. He joined the Buckhorn Middle School family as Assistant Principal in 2017 and has been a proud member of the Buckhorn community ever since.

A graduate of Sulligent High School (Class of 1998), Mr. Kennedy earned his Associate’s degree from Bevill State in 2000, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Athens State University in 2005. While actively teaching, he continued to pursue his education, earning a Master’s degree in Elementary Education/Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Alabama in 2007 and an Education Specialist degree in 2012. In 2016, he enrolled in the Samford University/Madison County cohort for Educational Leadership, completing the program by December of that year. He also plans to pursue a doctoral degree in the near future.

Mr. Kennedy has been married to his wife, Dr. Tiffany Kennedy, since May 2007. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from UAB in 2006. Together, they have two sons, Justin and Tyler, who bring joy and adventure to their daily lives. As a family, they enjoy traveling, movie nights, park visits, cheering on the Crimson Tide, and nurturing their faith. Personally, Mr. Kennedy finds relaxation in reading — especially the Harry Potter series — and watching Game of Thrones.

He considers Buckhorn Middle School a special place and is truly grateful for the opportunity to serve its students, families, and staff. If you need any assistance, Mr. Kennedy welcomes you to reach out.
