BHS Course Registration Info

High School Registration has begun for the Class of 2025!

We have kicked off high school registration with Mrs. Franzen, the 9th grade counselor. She has been visiting our history classes as well as had a Google Meet with our remote students this week to discuss the basics of high school. She will wrap up her presentation on Monday, March 15. If you were not able to attend or would like to review this information, here is a recording of her presentation.

View her information video at this link.

Ms. Franzen will begin visiting history classes on Tuesday, March 16, to discuss 9th grade classes and help guide students as they select classes. Information will be sent home with students on the day I come to their history classroom.

Please make sure to review the newsletter so that you are aware of all the high school registration activities and when to expect to receive information. Remote learners and students on quarantine that will not be back at school during high school registration, make sure you join all the remote learner opportunities so that you can stay on track

Here are some other high school resources to help students prepare for 9th grade: View the 9th Grade Registration Practice form at this link. The 9th Grade Registration form is a practice form. Please review over this form as needed. I will review this form with students as well as help them register for classes on whatever day I am scheduled in their history class.

View the 2021-2022 Madison County School System High School Course Catalog Academic Guide at this link.

This guide includes graduation requirements on p. 12-14 as well as course descriptions. Just because classes are in the course catalog doesn't mean that Buckhorn offers them. Please refer to the four year forms below to get a better understanding of the courses Buckhorn High School offers. Also know that course may be updated each year, so information is subject to change.

We will use the following form to create four year plans. Four year plans are a requirement by the state department. Please note that it is a plan and that plans will change year to year.
